The Investigation started at 12.30 after the regulars left the premises, the team then went to all locations on the premises to do the baseline tests. (EMF Readings and Temperature readings) The team then went to the cellar here we set sensor beams across its entrance. This area wasthen locked off for the nights first vigil. Next the team placed trigger objects around the building.
 

INVESTIGATION SUMMARY
 

The whole of the evening produced amazing results from the knock, tap and bangs to Ian seeing an apparition. The temperatures and EMF readings were consistant yet cold spots were reported at times of phenomena. The whistles were hard to explain as more than one person heard them from the bar area.
Glass moving was attempted and produced good results, scientists explain this can be caused by involuntary muscle movement yet when certain questions were asked there seemed to be other responses such as lights dimming and a knock on a wardrobe door. Can this be coincidence or paranormal activity? We believe it to be the latter.
Some intense personal experiences happened to members of the group, especially Ian…
 

The night ended with the happenings upstairs, there definitely appeared to be constructive movement, this defiantly ruled out the question of the building settling due to temperature change. It left everyone present totally amazed as it sounded like someone intelligently at work.
 

S.P.I. has investigated numerous buildings such as castles, mansions and other public houses. The Napoleon Inn has produced the most interesting evidence to date.
We believe paranormal activity to be present at this location.

THE OLD MILL, PRESCOTT 5/12/07

Staff say footsteps heard in upstairs corridor. items have been reported thrown across cellar and doors have been heard to close of their own accord.
 
It is believed that in the area in which the pool table sits that a hidden well lies .also in this area it is thought that a tunnel runs to the nearby church.
Mediums walk
 
The medium,chris body is only informed of the location on his arrival in prescot therefore he had no prior knowledge of the old mill.
Chris started his reading of the old mill in the bar area. he said he felt the presence of a man who he believed had passed on after suffering a heart attack while in the location. he said the man did not like his presence.
Chris then told us that a lady was also present in spirit who seemed upset about the gentleman picked up on at the bar .in the cellar chris informed us that a spirit of a man would let himself known he was there occasionally but was not grounded to the pub. Finally while upstairs he saw a lady in an elaborate dress who was the same lady spirit he had seen downstairs.
Vigil 1 [bar area]
Darren sees a shadow move across bar area while standing near the dining room.
A big drop in temp is noted at the bar.
A dragging noise is heard by everyone present near the pool table.
The cigarette machine seems to dimly light by itself.this causes great excitement but after investigation it is found to be faulty.
 
Vigil 2 [bar area]
This vigil passes by without incident.
 
Vigil3 [darren,paul/cellar]
Paul feels that his shirt as been tugged while standing in the centre of the cellar both darren and paul witness the central door move of its own accord.
The rest of the group who are upstairs in the bar area say that aimi and diane had seen a light eminate from close to the cigarette machine the machine was unplugged after the earlier incident.
 
Vigil 4 [bar area]
Paul reports that he had seen a light anomaly above the pool table.
 
Summary
Most of the incidents that taken place during the investigation was of people witnessing light anomalies and hearing noises. The two events that stood out were darren and paul seeing a door move quite markedly in an area which was draught free and a stool which was positioned at the area of the bar where the medium had felt the spirit of a man, had move its position by about six inches.nobody was allowed near the stool during the night .

cleaners heard singing in concert room.staff have heard barrels move in the cellar and in the kitchen area member of staff said they witnessed a container jump from a cupboard.

a glass was placed where a lady who had passed on used to sit on her many visits to the club.
 
The team then took emf and temp readings,set up the sound alarm beams in the stage area and proceeded with the nights investigation.

Vigil 1[snooker room]
the doors that lead from bar adjoining the concert room seem to open by itself.these doors are quite heavy and on inspection an explanation could not be found
The staff notice that the heating had turned off near cellar door,they say this should not happen unless they turn it off manually.
Two knocking noises are heard from ceiling above.the snooker room is directly below the concert room.one of the team check the above room but nothing unusual is found.
One of the guests[monica] feels a tightening sensation around her neck and that her hair is being touched.

all the group are together and glass movement is attempted with little success.this vigil is very quiet.

in the snooker room the group hear tapping noises and a temp drop is measured in an area near bar that a cold spot has appeared.everyone present in this room witness a light anomaly across a wall facing stairwell.
In the concert room everyone present sat close to where the trigger object was placed.after a short period of time the group heard what sounded like someone raising from a seat on opposite side of the room followed by what sounded like footsteps.

this vigil passed by without incident.
 
summary
the two main incidents that took place on this investigation were the light anomaly in the snooker room and what sounded like somebody raising from a seat in the concert room.both incidents were witnessed by a group of people each time which is fantastic from an investigating point of view.a lot of personal experiences were also felt during the vigils.nothing of note was caught on evp or tape . Due to this it cannot be concluded that paranormal activity was present but because of the incidents that people felt and saw the club would be excellent to investigate again.

Chris picked up image of a lady in Victorian dress at top of stairs. He felt the lady was pleasant and observed people. On entering the main room upstairs he then picked up the spirit of a gentleman from same time as the lady. Chris felt that the gentleman had owned walton hall and was very proud of the building. He concluded by informing the team that on the whole walton hall had been a very happy home for the people who had resided there.
 

Findings

A sigh was heard near doorway to main room upstairs. David reported that while setting up equipment in same room earlier he heard a loud bang come from the dressing cupboard.

All of the team hear what sounds like people chattering in the stairway. Team attempt glass movement to contact spirit but no response is registered.

Summary
Walton hall proved to be an excellent investigation although nothing was picked up on tape or recordings and was quiet for most of the night it proved to be fascinating. The earlier part of the investigation was the most active. Three members of the team reported that they heard what sounded like people chattering in the stairway. There was nobody else present in the hall so this was very interesting. A scream was heard later but this has to be discounted because it could have possibly came from people nearby although nobody was found on the grounds although no activity was recorded s.p.i enjoyed the investigation and intend to return to Walton hall again.

History
Angela [ the landlady] informed us that not much was known about the history of the location, but it was believed to be a coaching house where coach drivers would stop off on long journeys and rest themselves and their horses. in recent times there was once a function room upstairs which has now been altered into separate rooms. it is thought that freemasons would hold meetings in the function room .the old bar still exists in a small section upstairs. Downstairs there is a hidden cellar which is not known why it has been bricked off. the backyard has a separate building. it is believed this part of the property could have been stables.
 

Previous reported activity
Angela reported that the presence of a tall man has been felt in the cellar area. in this area noises from barrels has also been reported.tom said he had seen a lady in the toilet area a few weeks before the investigation .
Two incidents have been caught on camera. a strange white shape has
 

been caught on cctv camera overlooking the car park. also the cctv filming the vault shown a heavy rolled up piece of a4 paper move across the table. the air conditioning was on but any attempts to replicate what happened failed making this incident very interesting.
 

Findings
Upstairs area.
As there were guests present at the investigation it was decided to split into two groups. both groups spent equal time in different parts of the pub to carry out vigils.
The upstairs area proved to be relatively quiet. Both groups felt comfortable during the vigils. Something that was interesting to note was that the front room of the ex function room area felt quite warm. this room is reported to feel cold at all times. the temp taken during the vigils showed that the temp had risen even taking into account the body heat of everyone present on the vigil.
 

Bar area/vault.
While doing a vigil at a table in the bar area some of the ladies present saw a shadow go across the bar area. also a bang was heard in this area. The angle of which the shadow passed seemed to suggest that it was not caused by outside influences. The vault remained incident free during the night, neither the trigger objects or the sound beams were affected. some of the guests were invited to attempt glass movement. scientists believe when this is done it is caused by involuntary muscle movement. although this may be the case on some instances this does not explain when the glass seems to move to specific questions .s.p.I leave it to the participants to make their own conclusions. The guests seemed to have some success with the glass.it moved to answer the questions but gave random responses to the questions, as if playing with the particapents. At the end of the vigil the guests had the opportunity to use a planchette. this is the same theory as the glass but by using a wood device which as castors. in the centre of the planchette is a pen which rests on a sheet of paper.if it moves it is believed that a spirit present could answer questions by writing on the paper. the guests who used the planchette again had good results. when the planchette was moved the letter c appeared to be prominent.
 

Cellar.
The cellar turned out to be the most active part of the investigation. Before the vigils taken place some of the team were setting up the locked off camera. The camera ian was using had its batteries drained on entering. this was strange as they were brand new batteries. also peter felt that his hair had been touched gently.
One of the teams which consisted of the gentlemen guests and two team members. darren and ian] entered the cellar for the first vigil .a large cabinet stood on the left hand side as you enter the area. in clear view of most of the people present one cabinet door opened. when fully open the other door then opened as if it was done in order. This left everyone amazed. on inspection the doors would only open slightly and in tandem. we could not replicate the order of movement we witnessed. we then rested the doors together. A few minutes later darren and tom [one of the guests] witnessed the door move on the clasp. although the door had a bolt on and the clasp in front of this the movement was very profound. Ian then heard a clicking noise come from the locked off camera. on investigation he found the camera had been turned off. this was strange has the camera could only be turned off manually. He distanctly heard the switch turned off and nobody were standing in this area. Finally we entered the barrel room. Everyone stood silent and observed. after a short period all present heard what could only be described as a thumping noise coming from the top of a barrel.
 

Mediums walk
Chris body is a medium who works with s.p.I on a regular basis he comes from the outskirts of Liverpool and is not given any information by s.p.I about the location he is about to visit or the people who reside there.
 

Chris started his reading of the thatched house in the seating area of the bar. He felt he was picking up the spirit of a man called james. he felt this man was a highwayman and felt that he had been brought to justice as he had the image of a judge come to him. he felt this man was tall and smart and he could see horses and coaches around the location.
Chris also felt that another person in spirit was present. This was a stablehand who was young in age and had grubby clothes on. he said the lad even though scruffy was handsome and popular. Chris then stated he felt that the stablehand had been strangled close by. finally before moving upstairs chris felt prostitutes had frequented the location generations before.
Upstairs in the back area of the pub chris picked up on a lady who was aged late 70s early 80s. He said the lady suffered from problems to her chest. He felt a pressure to the side of his head. The names esther/estelle came to his mind but wasn’t sure why. We moved to another room where chris received the name Shirley and felt a white terrrier would have been there in times before. he said the lady he could see wore a pink top and pink trousers and was a nice woman.
Finally chris said he felt nothing malicious was present in the pub and it had a good atmosphere .
 

Summary
The investigation of the thatched house was very enjoyable. the guests asked a lot of good questions to the team and took an active part in the investigation. Nothing was caught on evp and the trigger objects remained unmoved but by far the best evidence involved eye witness accounts. The happenings in the cellar were very interesting. The camera turning off, thumping on the barrel and the doors opening were good evidence for two reasons.1 on attempting to replicate it was found impossible to do.2 more than one person witnessing the occurrences which gives the evidence more creditability. Also when the guests used the planchette and the glass they seemed to have some success.these instances we leave to the people involved to make there own conclusions as to what they experienced and to debate.
A mediums ability is genuinely down to a persons beliefs. We as a team have a open mind and it is up to who reads this report to have their own conclusions. THE MEDIUM WAS NOT GIVEN ANY INFORMATION PRIOR TO THE NIGHTS EVENTS. what was interesting was that he talked about horse and coaches which is something we were informed about by angela and he picked up on a lady with chest problems which also angela had mentioned in the upstairs area. To conclude due to the cellar experiences and the personal experiences of the people who frequent the thatched house s.p.I believe paranormal activity is present and we thank angela and the people present for their hospitality

HALFWAY HOUSE PUB, ashton u/l

History.
A tragic story is attached to the history of this public house. On the land at the back of this hostelry was a mine known as the diamond pit.on feb 6th 1858 the pit which had a workforce of about two hundred men and boys was shaken by a huge explosion.half of the workforce were trapped at the bottom of the shaft which had a 470 yards drop.despite the efforts of the local people to rescue the trapped many of the workforce underground perished.two local public houses cellars were used as temporary morgues for the poor victims.one of these was the halfway house.

The team first set up the sound beams near the toilet entrance.then trigger objects were placed.these were coins near the bar and a pint glass on the bar.
Emf and temp readings were then taken and the investigation began
 
Mediums walk
As always the medium present [chris body] was given no prior information of the location and not informed of its name and whereabouts until on arrival.
Chris started by gathering everyone together in the bar area.he felt as sense of depression.he that seven people had drowned nearby .the number seven was important .chris then said he could taste sulphur.
Everybody went down to the cellar next. Chris again relayed to us that the people he had mentioned upstairs was forefront in his mind.just before chris finished ian said he could hear some noises from behind where he was standing.immediately a sighing noise was heard by most present.during the walk the landlady was seen to be visibly upset and had removed herself from the group. Two of the team spoke to her privately. She said that when the medium talked about seven people drowning she was overwhelmed with sadness as she knew that during the tragedy that this number of people had drowned in a rescue attempt.
S.p.I believe working with a medium is a big part of investigating the paranormal. We leave it to the people attending and whoever reads this to draw their own conclusions as to a mediums ability to communicate with spirits.

A noise which sounds like a bar stool being tripped over is heard close to where team is situated.
Downstairs in the cellar area Nathan[guest] says he feels that one of his trouser legs has been tugged.the ladies feel emotional and one of them cries.

Rick ,darren and pete hear what sounds like footsteps on the cellar stairway.
The ladies upstairs they see a shadow move across entrance to the toilets.

Again the sound of footsteps are heard on the stairway.
Loud thudding noise his heard in cellar storeroom. Pete asks for whoever is there to come forward.a second bang follows .
The sound of a barrel being dragged and moved is heard .
 
Summary
The halfway house proved to be an excellent investigation.
It was an emotional experience for the landlady and the guests . The sound of the barrel moving in the cellar is something that is difficult to explain as there was nobody in the area they are stored.
The team thank our hosts at the halfway house for a great night.

BACUP THEATRE
Bacup royal court theatre

History
Originally an iron foundary , the building was bought in 1892 by john walters. It was reopened as a variety theatre in 1893. In the 1900s it became a picture palace and later a bingo hall before returning to its earlier roots as a theatre named the empire . In the new millenium the theatre changed back to its original name,the royal court.
 
Reported experiences.
Staff have reported that an apparition of a man has been seen in the rigging above the stage. Doors have been reported to be held shut and a presence has been felt in the dressing room area. Perhaps the strangest reports by a staff person is of coins seemingly tossed towards the stage from the audience area when the theatre is not in use.
 
The team decided to put coins on the arms of chairs on the front row as trigger objects. Readings were taken around the building and the investigation began.
We began with a walk around the building with chris body,a medium who is part of our investigation team.we started the walk in the lower circle area. Chris said he felt the presence of a gentleman he believed had owned this building and was very proud of it.he was then drawn to the stage area.here chris said there had been a tragedy above the stage resulting in the loss of a life.
We next headed for the dressing room area. Here again chris felt that the same man he came across in the lower circle would now and then make his presence known.
The walk ended in the bar and café areas upstairs. Chris said that a gentleman had suffered a heart attack in this section of the building.this was later confirmed by our host although the person had made a recovery.
 
The investigation
Vigils took place throughout the building with the team and hosts splitting into two groups.two vigils produced incidents that were to leave everyone present to debate them for days.
The first of these vigils involved a timeslip experiment. One of our team[pete] is a professional singer.pete went onto the stage while everybody else sat in the upper circle.as part of the experiment pete would sing songs performed in the early 1900s and everyone else would be his, audience.before the vigil was started the team checked that every unused seat was not down.our host judi confirmed that none of the seats were known to be faulty. During, pete performing his song it was noted on camera that a seat in the lower circle had lowered into a seated position.also team member darren asked did anyone hear a faint groaning noise.this noise was not heard by anyone else but when checking the filming later it was picked up on the recording.peter performed another song and in two different areas of the upper circle seats again were found to be down.
The second vigil of interest involved the stage area. Team members pete and dave had separated from their group and moved onto the stage.they were the only people in the auditoriam.the two groups were in the dressing room area and the bar area. Pete asked if any spirits present could copy him whistling.a whistling noise was heard back.he asked the same question and again a whistle was heard in answer.one of the groups was asked to join them on the stage.pete again asked if his whistle could be copied.again a response occurred.although everyone heard the response it was not caught on camera or recording.
 
Summary
The bacup royal court theatre was a wonderful investigation.it was great that the two main talking points were witnessed by groups of people.the timeslip experiment was brilliant.the chairs around the theatre dropping into a seated position caused great excitement. Although these incidents could not be proved to be paranormal due to not being caught on camera happening, judi our host said it was not known for these seats to drop as they had.
The whistles heard were excellent as they were in direct response to questions.everyone were accounted for when they happened so these were difficult to explain.

R.O.A.B CLUB

History
The R.a.o.b. club has a very interesting past. it is now a place where people come to socialize and enjoy a drink and entertainment but it served another purpose previously. In the middle of the last century it was a private home and solicitors office. It was owned by a lady called miss buckle. Miss buckle spent many years here until she decided to sell the property. She only did this on the proviso that it was used for its current use .the building had a concert room built on what was the courtyard at the back but the house and office part remains intact.
 
Reported activity
Many people throughout the years have claimed that miss buckle as made her presence known. One such person was a former treasurer he informed us that one night after locking the club and leaving he was walking past the back of the building. He said he seen the figure of a elderly woman in the window on the second floor he had locked the building empty.
Another gentleman said he had come out of the clubs toilet and was greeted by a lady who was walking up its staircase. The woman said good night to him. He later asked the clubs steward when did the club become residential he was informed it had not and there was no lady by his description present that night.
 
Mediums walk
Chris body our resident medium took us up to the first floor. He informed us that books and numbers was prominent in this area. He felt that a lady was presenting her self to him in spirit he described her as a matriarch person who was wearing a brown cardigan. She had grey hair that was tied up in a bun style.
 
Vigils
The team split up at various times for set vigils. Nothing was caught on sound or tape unusual and the investigation had only two incidents of note but were both very interesting.
While Pete and Dave were at the bottom of the staircase they both smelt what they described as a lavender based perfume the odour lasted about 30 seconds then disappeared. They checked to see if the smell could have come from a storeroom or the toilets but nothing could be found for the cause.
The second incident involved the trigger objects. These were old coins which were placed on the office table on the first floor. All the coins were circled accept for one which was placed next to the paper the coins were on. Towards the end of the investigation on inspection we found the separate coin was stacked on top of a token coin. We could find no explanation for this as we did not see any token coin when we set the trigger objects in place.
 
Summary
Due to not finding any evidence on tape or film we are unable to say that paranormal activity is present at the R.a.o.b. although the incidents that did take place were interesting they could not be considered as conclusive. The R.a.o.b club is a fascinating building and is worthy of further investigation.
We as a team would like to thank Dave at the club for being so helpful in allowing us to come and investigate.

MASONIC ARMS 25/11/08
Masonic Public House

The Masonic Arms has a very interesting past. In its time it hosted in the top floor of the building a meeting place for masons. In the early 1990s we were informed by the landlady that the top floor was removed from the building.
Although this as been done
A roof as been put over what is left of this level and bits of the room such as the fireplaces are still visible.
 

Reported Occurances
Jackie who had just become the new landlady asked us to come and investigate after she had some strange happenings to her in the pub. These varied from strange noises to the feeling of being watched.She explained that she felt most unnerved in the cellar area.
 

After taking readings around the location it was decided to do the first vigil of the night in the bar area.The landlady,her guests and team member Dave sat at a table while Pete And Darren of the team watched proceedings.
Pete noticed that the door leading to the cellar stairwell was closed.This door had been left open by himself and Darren as they had placed soundbeams in the cellar and wanted to hear if the beams were set off. There was no draught registered in this area and the door did not shut when pushed so this occurance was interesting. As the vigil was coming to a close what appeared to be the sound of footsteps was heard near this same door area.
The second vigil took place in the cellar area. At different moments some of the people present felt breezes pass by themselves.The front of the main cellar area near where the beer deliveries were dropped was notably colder in temperature so this had to be noted in this case. The area did have a heavy atmosphere due to having a number of smaller rooms as well as the main area. This in itself gave a sense of being unnerved.
 

In the third and penultimate vigil it was decided to separate into small groups . Jackie reported that she felt that she had been touched on her back and that she felt a draught move across her.
 

During the fourth and final vigil occurred the main talking point of the investigation . Again everyone split into small groups. Dave and one of the pubs bar staff had positioned themselves in the living room. They were sat on the rooms couch which was adjacent to the rooms door.Dave closed the door and they began the vigil.After app 15 min the door handle was turned and the door opened.Dave assumed one of the team was entering but on investigation he found they were alone.Everyone else was accounted for in other areas of the building.
 

Summary
The Masonic Arms was an excellent building to investigate. Due to its layout and unusual features it had an unnerving feeling to it in certain areas. The two occasions when the doors appeared to close in one instance and open on another were very interesting . The living room door opened by the handle turning resulting in being difficult to explain.

BOARS HEAD 06/03/09

History
The Olde Boars Head dates back to at least 1587.In its early beginnings it was part of a row of cottages and operated as a coaching inn on the Chester to York highway.
During the English Civil War the Middleton area was Parliamentarian and the location was the headquarters of the Roundheads.
It is documented that Bonnie Prince Charlie took refuge in the inn while fleeing back to Scotland in 1745.
One legend has it that Dick Turpin stopped at the inn but there is no evidence of this on record.
In the 1800s the sessions house was added to the inn.Here justice was administered to the local population ,in some cases people were sent to their deaths for their crimes.
 
Investigation
As always the team took temp and emf readings before the investigation started.Trigger objects[old coins] were placed on the bar and upstairs in the old room.
Mediums Walk.
Chris Body ,the teams resident medium was asked to start his walk around the location in the sessions room.Here he felt that a strong gentleman was making his presence felt. This man he stated did not liked being questioned and did not like the team doing this. Chris said the man would pass judgement here and was feared by the people of the area.
During this part of the walk,Leanne[the landlady] stated that she thought she heard a laughing sound from behind her and that the temp had dropped around her.
Next we moved to an area which Leanne informed us was a dungeon.
Chris was not given any information on the location prior to the investigation by the team.
Chris told us that he could see a man in a long bedraggled white shirt.the man he said was having cold water thrown on him by what looked like two burly guards.
Finally in the old room upstairs in the pub Chris informs us that he was sensing that a well dressed burly man would make himself known . He said this gentlman would have sat in this room eating heartily and drinking red wine. Chris said the man dealt with money and was maybe a debt collector.The name George Rowndtree came to Chris.
 
Vigils
Before the vigils began two bangs were heard coming from the kitchen area.Chris asked had a woman been attacked in this area .Leanne informed us that in the buildings long history it was said that a teenage girl had met an untimely end in the area before it had become a kitchen.
VIGIL 1
Darren,Chris and Peter went to the dungeon while the other team members moved to the kitchen area.
Although the atmosphere felt very heavy in the dungeon,the vigil passed without incident.In the kitchen area some strange banging noises were heard.
 
VIGIL 2
Everyone present moved to the sessions room. Some sharp temp drops were noted but otherwise the vigil was fairly quiet.
 
VIGIL 3
The team asked if George was present with us. At first the vigil was uneventful so it was decided to use the planchette. After a period of five minutes the planchette moved quickly.The team checked the paper . Nothing could be deciphered from this .
 
SUMMARY
The Olde Boars head was fantastic to investigate.To walk around this location was like taking a step back in time.
From an evidential point of view nothing was picked up on sound or vision.
What made this investigation fascinating was the amount of information put forward by Chris. We found it very interesting when Chris asked about a lady meeting an untimely end in the area that is now the kitchen.Leanne confirmed this.This was something that was not of common knowledge.
The Olde Boars Head provided the team with a very interesting night and we thank Leanne for inviting us.

Bacup Royal court theatre

History
  Originally an iron foundry , the building was bought in 1892 by john Walters. It was reopened as a variety theatre in 1893. In the 1900s it became a picture palace and later a bingo hall before returning to its earlier roots as a theatre named the empire . In the new millennium the theatre changed back to its original name, the royal court.

Reported experiences.
  Staff have reported that an apparition of a man has been seen in the rigging above the stage. Doors have been reported to be held shut and a presence has been felt in the dressing room area. Perhaps the strangest reports by a staff person is of coins seemingly tossed towards the stage from the audience area when the theatre is not in use.

The team decided to put coins on the arms of chairs on the front row as trigger objects. Readings were taken around the building and the investigation began.
  We began with a walk around the building with Chris body, a medium who is part of our investigation team. we started the walk in the lower circle area. Chris said he felt the presence of a gentleman he believed had owned this building and was very proud of it. he was then drawn to the stage area. here Chris said there had been a tragedy above the stage resulting in the loss of a life.
  We next headed for the dressing room area. Here again Chris felt that the same man he came across in the lower circle would now and then make his presence known.
  The walk ended in the bar and café areas upstairs. Chris said that a gentleman had suffered a heart attack in this section of the building. this was later confirmed by our host although the person had made a recovery.

The investigation
  Vigils took place throughout the building with the team and hosts splitting into two groups. two vigils produced incidents that were to leave everyone present to debate them for days.
  The first of these vigils involved a time slip experiment. One of our team[pete] is a professional singer. Pete went onto the stage while everybody else sat in the upper circle. As part of the experiment Pete would sing songs performed in the early 1900s and everyone else would be his, audience. Before the vigil was started the team checked that every unused seat was not down. our host Judi confirmed that none of the seats were known to be faulty. During, Pete performing his song it was noted on camera that a seat in the lower circle had lowered into a seated position.also team member Darren asked did anyone hear a faint groaning noise.this noise was not heard by anyone else but when checking the filming later it was picked up on the recording. peter performed another song and in two different areas of the upper circle seats again were found to be down.
  The second vigil of interest involved the stage area. Team members pete and dave had separated from their group and moved onto the stage.they were the only people in the auditoriam .the two groups were in the dressing room area and the bar area. Pete asked if any spirits present could copy him whistling. a whistling noise was heard back. he asked the same question and again a whistle was heard in answer.one of the groups was asked to join them on the stage. pete again asked if his whistle could be copied. Again a response occurred. Although everyone heard the response it was not caught on camera or recording.

  Summary
The Bacup royal court theatre was a wonderful investigation. It was great that the two main talking points were witnessed by groups of people. the time slip experiment was brilliant. The chairs around the theatre dropping into a seated position caused great excitement. Although these incidents could not be proved to be paranormal due to not being caught on camera happening, judi our host said it was not known for these seats to drop as they had.
  The whistles heard were excellent as they were in direct response to questions. Everyone were accounted for when they happened so these were difficult to explain.
  The team would like to thank Judi and her guides for their wonderful hospitality and help in what was a memorable night.

PRIVATE HOUSE

Basic information
• 3 bedroom house.
• 2 permanent residence-adult male (N) and 4yr old male (L).
• 2 Visiting residents-adult female (C) and 3 mth old female (S).
• 1 dog.
• Residences lived in the property for approx. 6mths and have said there has always been activity.
• Residents say the last property they lived in also had activity happening in it and they had the house blessed by a priest and although activity seemed to settled for a short time in then returned and seemed to get worse. Residents only live that the last property for a few mths.
Resident’s experiences
• L seems to see and experience a lot. He is heard chatting to himself and laughing when no one is with him. L hads been heard talking about “Steven” and “Elouise” or “Ann Louise”. One incident with L he had urinated in his bedroom and became very upset and said “they wouldn’t let me out”.
• N and C mentioned the door between the lounge and kitchen regularly opens and closes. Tabacco is said to be smelt quite often. When in the lounge talking about C’s father who has passed the electric toy truck has been known to set itself off. C and N both said in the previous property when the priest was saying prayers downstairs the upstairs doors were heard banging.
• C has said while at the previous house she felt like when in bed someone was stood at the base of the bed watching her. C also mentioned when she was pregnant and staying in the previous house she lay in bed with N and she said she was saying a prayer in her head when she though she heard N whisper “I wouldn’t do that if I were you, you don’t know the consequences” and then she felt she was dragged out of bed by her stomach. C has said she has seen shadows of figures in the hallway at the current house and in the glass living room door she has seen the reflection of a bald head and the outline of a head and shoulders.
• When S was first born she was poorly and kept in an incubator and C has photos showing white lights around her. S has been known to laugh while in the cot alone. S also has been picked up out of her cot in the property when C found a conker under S that wasn’t there when she was put in the cot( C remembers L giving her conkers and C put them in her house coat pocket).

• N mentioned in the front bedroom a butter knife has been found, a screw driver and the door opens regularly. N also mentioned the gas has turned on a few times.

• While at the house at 20:45 all Hayley, Phil C and N all went cold and got goose bumps on their skin.
• Before the baseline test were carried out Phil mention he felt there was a man stood in the kitchen doorway with a bald head aged approx. 55-60yrs old.
• Hayley, Phil, C and N sat in the lounge with the EMF meters and called out. The EMF meter went up to 3rd and amber and then read when asking questions to “Steven”. When asking if “Steven” came from the previous property the EMF meter read 3rd amber.
• N shared his father has passed and would have been aged 55 this year he also mentioned his grandfather passed away at the age of 55.
• C informed us her dad passed away and would have been in his mid-fifties.
Conclusion
• Phil and Hayley left the property at approx. 22:10.
• Both N and C agreed after meeting and speaking to Phil and Hayley they both felt more comfortable with the situation and with activity they were experiencing.
• Both N and C said they found Phil and Hayley’s visit interesting and that if possible they would love to find out more about paranormal activity.
• Both N and C said they do not want to spirit or spirits to leave and that they would contact Darren in the next few days with some feedback.
